Welcome, weary traveler, to our humble tavern of tales. As the flickering torchlight dances across the worn wooden tables and the aroma of ale and adventure fills the air, let us take a moment to pause and reflect. Each month presents its own quest, its own challenges to overcome and victories to celebrate. It is a journey fraught with peril and possibility, where every decision carries weight and every roll of the dice shapes our fate.

Roll initiative, for the tale of our past month awaits.

The last month has definitely been a wild ride to say the least. From learning the way around building a whole website and maintaining this blog to connect with (the few at this point) all of you over such an amazing game. Not only that, but at the same time, I have started a new D&D Campaign and turned it into a Podcast which was an adventure all in itself.

The website itself took a bit of time to set up with no prior experience in the realm of website building. I will say one thing though WordPress makes it very easy to get up and going and work as you go. This alone has given me the chance to put some new skills under my belt and I still have much more to learn. The drag and drop system is very simple versus the alternative of learning all the coding that goes into it, although I will say in the future I plan to learn more of the coding process to fine tune things and polish things up to give a better experience for everyone.

This blog has been an incredible outlet for my creativity and finally being able to share some of the stories from my D&D experience is amazing. I am only hoping to inspire some of your own amazing journeys. It doesn’t matter if this blog reaches a few people or many, I enjoy knowing that someone out there might find this and create something amazing. Along with being an outlet for my creativity, this blog has also helped me with strengthening the friendships I have with the people I play with and it also allows us to reminisce on the great times we’ve had.

Speaking of those friends, within the time of me working on this blog, we have also started up a new campaign! A brand new world for us all to uncover and I can already tell this is going to be a wild ride with the few sessions we’ve had so far. It has been full of mystery and surprises that not only bring together a group of unique individuals but writes a story that needs to be told. Trociki’s Tomorrow’s Today is the name of it and if you are interested in the story we have a whole section for it in this blog. If you enjoy a bunch of misfits coming together and causing chaos we are the group for you!

Starting a podcast has come with its own set of challenges, from choosing which software to record and edit on to promoting and actually getting it out there. When we see videos or listen to podcasts, I think we don’t realize how much work it takes for the creators to actually get people to listen and actually care about what they have to say. I used to be the same way and would think, well it can’t be that hard, right? Boy, was I wrong and honestly I’m glad I was. There is no magic button you push to get a finely polished product and the frustrating moments are worth it in the end.

Even though this was and still is a bit of a difficult process, I love the work I’ve put in and all the skills I’ve acquired along the way. It has not only helped me improve but I feel I have more appreciation for those who do it. There is just something about knowing that someone else was once at the same stage I am at now and are possibly making a living doing it now and that is awesome in my opinion.

Learning to love your work and seeing your vision come to life is honestly an incredible feeling. So I will leave you with a question, How do you plan to make your next dream a reality? Challenge yourself whether it’s going that extra step and making a phenomenal D&D character that blows the socks off of everyone or taking your own campaign and turning it into something everyone wants to talk about. Learn to love it and share it with the world if you want or even just to cherish the memories with your friends, either way you are contributing to the world of D&D and making it better for all of us.

I hope you come back for many months to come and listen to my story and maybe even share yours!
